Triple Falls
Dupont State Forest
In the movie, "The Last of the Mohicans", this is the spot when Hawkeye and the Mohicans are escorting Cora and others to the Fort. The movie was filmed in North Carolina, This is a great movie if you've never seen it before!
Pearson's Falls
Tryon, NC
These shots were taken in the Spring of 2011. The watershed was great because of the winter and early spring rains. That's the best time of the year to get a lot of water falling.
There are three waterfalls in the Deep Creek Area. Deep Creek is close to Bryson City, at the southern end of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Wonderful place for day hikes, camping and just enjoying nature.
Deep Creek Waterfalls
Juney Whank Falls
Take the Juney Whank Falls trail... a fairly short walk uphill to this waterfall. It has a little wooden bridge over the stream and a bench for just sitting and enjoying the rest.
Tom Branch Falls
The Deep Creek trail has two waterfalls. The first one is Tom Branch.
Indian Creek Falls
On the Deep Creek trail, after Tom Branch Falls.
