We’ve got a hummingbird at our feeder. Just put in some fresh food for him and he has been enjoying it! It’s a green one so I’m thinking it’s a Ruby Throated.
Several days ago, I saw one that had dull yellow feathers. I have no idea what kind I saw.
Have you spotted any hummingbirds in North Carolina??
Here’s a family of elk in the field at Cataloochee. You’ve got the bull elk, the female and a couple of young ones.

His antlers in the sun, munching on some grass.

Click the play button to hear the bull elk bugling!
These are female elk grazing in the field beside the Palmer Chapel inside Cataloochee. Wonderful place to go see the elk population that has been reintroduced in this area.
More to come!

Triple Falls is in the Dupont State Forest in North Carolina. If you’ve seen the movie, The Last of the Mohicans, you may recognize the part when Hawkeye and the Mohicans are escorting Cora and others to the fort, up the side of the waterfall.

Here was a really cute mule that was ready for some attention! He was way up at the end of our jeep ride in the mountains.

I love these plants. They are so full of color! If you know the name, please comment. Thanks!

You know it’s fall when you see all the pretty color mums in bloom!

I hope you’ve enjoyed my aquarium photos! Can’t wait to go back.
